柴田航監督による長編映画『生きること、産むこと』の日本での初上映が決定しました。
この作品は、「反出生主義」に関する哲学の講義を受けた4人の大学生が、自殺願望や妊娠などの問題に向き合って深く考える物語です。
2022年4月に開催された第55回ヒューストン国際映画祭においては長編部門で銀賞を受賞し、同年8月のモスクワ国際映画祭においては Tigers and Dragons 部門に選ばれました。
長らく日本での公開が待たれていましたが、この度「名もなき映画館プロジェクト」の上映企画として2022年12月4日に埼玉県の寄居町商工会館で上映されることが決定しました。

'About Anti-Natalism,' a feature film written and directed by Wataru Shibata, will mark its Japan premiere in December this year.
This film is a story where a philosophical class that addresses antinatalism at a university leads 4 students into giving serious thought to issues of life, procreation, pregnancy and desire for suicide.
It has enjoyed its success at film festivals such as Moscow Internatilnal Film Festival and World Fest Houston (The Houston International Film Festival), at the former of which it was selected in Tigers and Dragons section, and at the latter it won the Silver Remi Award in the feature film category.
A long wait for its Japan premiere will be over on December 4, 2022, as it is going to be screened at an event organized by 'Namonaki Eigakan Project' in Yorii city, Saitama, Japan.
