無生殖主義とは何か

WHAT IS ANTI-PROCREATIONISM?

無生殖主義とは、苦痛を感じ得るあらゆるものは生成されるべきでないとする立場です。

Anti-procreationism (無生殖主義) is a position to argue that anything potentially sentient should not be created.


無生殖主義の支持が意味すること

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN ANTI-PROCREATIONIST

無生殖主義の支持は、

  1. ヒトを含むあらゆる有感生物の生殖は道徳的に善くないものであると考える
  2. ヒト以外の動物の苦痛を最小化するためにヴィーガニズムを支持／実践する
  3. すでに生まれてしまった苦痛を感じ得る者たちの苦痛も最小化されるべきであると考える

ことを意味します。

Being an anti-procreationist means:

  1. You argue that procreation of any sentient beings including humans is ethically wrong.
  2. You support and practice veganism to minimize animals' suffering.
  3. You argue that sentient beings that have already been born deserve the ethical right to have their suffering minimized.

無生殖主義の支持が意味しないこと

WHAT IT DOES NOT MEAN TO BE AN ANTI-PROCREATIONIST

無生殖主義の支持は、

  1. ヒトだけが生殖をやめるべきだと考える
  2. ヒト以外の有感生物は配慮に値しないと考える
  3. 非存在者を存在しないままにしておくためであれば、すでに生まれてしまった苦痛を感じ得る者たちがいくら苦しんでもいいと考える

ことを意味しません。

Being an anti-procreationist DOES NOT mean:

  1. You argue that only human beings should stop procreating.
  2. You argue that sentient beings other than humans do not deserve to have their suffering minimized.
  3. You do not care how much pain already-born sentient beings experience as long as it serves the purpose of keeping the unborn forever unborn.
